Andermatt-Sedrun Recruiting Days: Successful first edition
The first Andermatt-Sedrun Recruiting Days took place in Andermatt on August 29 and 30. This novel format made it possible for applicants to get an impression on location of the various companies of the Andermatt Swiss Alps Group and Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG. It included job “speed dating” in the gondola. The diverse programme schedule also enabled them to get more acquainted with the region and the tourism offerings. The successful candidates left the event with a new job.
Spend the winter season as ski instructor at the Snowsports School Andermatt ? Gain experience in five-star hospitality at The Chedi Andermatt ? Go to work at the slope-side restaurant on skis? Or move to Sedrun in Grisons and join the ticket office team at the cableways? At the Andermatt-Sedrun Recruiting Days, there was no need to decide in advance. During job “speed dating” in the gondola, the participants first spoke briefly with their potential employers and then selected their desired positions.
From workplace to hobby in just a few minutes
It's never far from the workplaces in Altdorf, Andermatt and Sedrun to the wide range of outdoor, cultural and dining attractions. The programme schedule enabled the candidates to experience this directly and choose from among golfing, climbing, drink-mixing and more.
Interviews and feedback talks
In addition to further recreational activities, the second day featured second interviews. At the end of the event, we were able to give 30 out of 33 participants a job (91% of the candidates, 29% of all 102 people interested in the Andermatt-Sedrun Recruiting Days). Some applicants even received offers from several companies in our group. These candidates are spoiled for choice.
The departments involved were impressed by the very good applicant profiles and regard the new format as a complete success. We are already looking forward to working with our new colleagues.
