A close partnership exists between the companies of the Andermatt Swiss Alps Group and Orascom Development Holding AG (ODH). ODH is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and develops holiday destinations in numerous countries on three continents.

Andermatt Swiss Alps Group

The Andermatt Swiss Alps Group consists of Andermatt Swiss Alps AG with the 18-hole golf course and the Andermatt Concert Hall, as well as the hotels The Chedi Andermatt and Radisson Blu Reussen. Andermatt Swiss Alps, with registered office in Andermatt, plans, builds, and develops the year-round destination of Andermatt. In 2009 Andermatt Reuss came into being, with apartment buildings, hotels, and villas. They are committed to an intact environment and a sustainable future that will enable coming generations to have an extraordinary home.

Andermatt Swiss Alps holds 40 percent of the shares of Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG. Vail Resorts, Inc., the majority shareholder, holds 55 percent. Vail Resorts is the world’s largest ski resort operator. The two companies are working closely together to develop the destination, with the aim of becoming the Prime Alpine Destination. Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG owns the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun cableways, the Swiss Snowsports School Andermatt, the catering brand Mountain Food and the sport shop Gleis 0.

During high season, Andermatt Swiss Alps and Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG have more than 1,000 employees working at the locations in Altdorf, Andermatt and Sedrun.

Orascom Development Holding

Orascom Development Holding (ODH), with registered office in Altdorf in the canton of Uri, is a leading town planner that develops integrated destinations, including hotels, residential units and leisure facilities, such as golf courses, marinas and supporting infrastructure. ODH has a diverse portfolio of worldwide destinations, spanning Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Morocco, Montenegro, Switzerland and England. The group operates a total of 33 hotels with 7,198 rooms and owns approximately 101 million m2 of land.

ODH has approximately 9,000 employees in eight countries.
