Playgrounds

Plenty of space for going full throttle

In Andermatt, there's no such thing as boredom. You’ll find a variety of sport offerings around Andermatt Reuss. The Sportpark Feldküche offers space for all kinds of ball sports. The Andermatt Reuss playground features a variety of playground equipment on which kids can let off steam. The grill huts right next door are the perfect spot for unhurried gatherings with friends and neighbours.

Family paradise

There’s a lot to discover at the mid-station of the Gütsch Express! Young and old alike can have fun climbing, sliding, swinging or balancing. Try scaling the Swiss mountains on the climbing wall. Or take the mountain climber trail, where you’ll feel like you're on a mountain tour. Right next to it there’s a giant hiking boot and an enormous knapsack. Here you can learn everything that you may need for an adventurous day in the mountains.

Eiboden playground

Located directly behind Andermatt Reuss is a large playground offering a variety of ways for children to let off steam, including a slide, swing set and jungle gym. Two grill huts are the perfect spot for unhurried gatherings with the entire family and friends. Interested in a competition while the children are playing? At the pétanque court at the Eiboden playground, up to six players can vie for top honours in the precision sport. The balls can be borrowed on location.

Bellevue playground

The Bellevue playground is located directly across from the Andermatt railway station in a quiet spot nestled among trees. A ropeway lets kids swing through the trees almost like Tarzan. Young sandcastle builders will be delighted by the sand crane. Picnic tables are available for relaxed meals, and a grill for barbecuing rounds out the offering.

Flies playground

The playground can be reached by taking the village walking circuit and the Moorlehr path from Andermatt toward Unteralp. The route is suitable for families with prams.

The playground is located alongside the Unteralpreuss brook and offers lots of space for playing and relaxing: Whether damming water with self-built stone walls or kneipping – young and old alike feel right at home here. While parents are tending to the grill and lunch, children can have a great time playing at the stream and on the mountain meadow across from it.
